A few things clients usually want to know first.
Ask us something elseYes. The initial consultation is a conversation to understand your situation and tell you whether we are the right firm for it. There is no charge and no obligation, and it does not by itself create an attorney–client relationship.
Where the work is definable — a formation, a set of standard terms, a lease review — we quote a flat fee up front. Where it is not, such as a live dispute, we bill hourly against a written estimate and keep you updated as the matter develops. Either way the arrangement is agreed in writing before work starts.
Yes. The office is in Foster City and we serve clients throughout California. Most matters are handled remotely by video and secure document exchange, with in-person meetings where they add something.
It is extremely common, and it is fixable. Missing minutes, unsigned consents and lapsed filings surface most painfully during a sale or a dispute. Bringing the record back into order is routine work and far cheaper done in advance than under deal pressure.
